Fruit & Jelly Perfection


Ingredients

   FOR THE BASE
Jello/Jelly Crystal1 packet
Apples2
Oranges3
Bananas3
Plain Cake Slices6 slices
Custard Powder4 tablespoons
Milk2 litres
Sugar100 gms

   TOPPING & DECORATION
Vanilla Ice Cream6 cups (12 scoops)
Cherries30 gms - chopped
Almonds30 gms - blanched
Orange Wafer Buiscuits6~8

Preparation: 15 minutes
  1. In large Dessert bowl, set the Jello/Jelly and refrigerate.
  2. Peel the Bananas, Oranges & Apples; chop fine.
  3. Crumble the cake slices & keep aside.
  4. Stir in the custard powder in 3 tbsp of chilled milk.

Cooking: 30 minutes

Heat milk in a pan. Boil for 20 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.

Blend in the custard, stir continuously to avoid formation of lumps. When custard thickens, add sugar , remove pan from heat, allow to cool.

Assembly

  1. Check to confirm if Jello/Jelly has set.
  2. Add the chopped pieces of fruits over, evenly.
  3. Pour the custard after it has cooled.
  4. Sprinkle the crumbled cake.
  5. Beat the Ice Cream until smooth. Pour and spread over.
  6. Decorate with cherries, almonds & wafers.
Serve Chilled.
