ARJUNA IN KURUKSHETRA
In spite of all efforts, the war of Mahabharata could not be averted. The armies of the Kauravas and the Pandavas stood facing each other on the battlefield. The spirited horses neighed, and the elephants trumpeted loudly. The soldiers were enthusiastic. Maces, spears, swords, bows and arrows, and all the divine weapons shone brightly in the sun.

Bhishma pitamaha was the commander of the Kaurava army. He stood proudly in his chariot, which was pulled by four horses. His chariot was surrounded by those of Kripacharya, Dronacharya, Ashwatthama, Jayadratha, Duryodhana and other valiant warriors.

Dhrishtadyumna was the commander of the Pandava army. But their victory was in the hands of Shri Krishna, who was Arjuna's charioteer. Arjuna stood in the chariot that was gifted to him by Agnideva at the time of the burning of the Khandava forest. Arjuna had been eagerly waiting to fight a war with

the Kauravas. But that day, he appeared to lack the zeal and enthusiasm to fight.
