BHEEMA SLAYS BAKASURA
Bheema gently lowered his mother and brothers on clean groung at the edge of the forest. Then Bheema walked in front of his mother and brothers. He made a pathway across the forest by removing the rocks, uprooting trees and thick bushes and clearing prickly thickets.
His mother and brothers walked on the pathway and followed him.
Along the way, Kunti and the Pandavas met Sage Vyasa. According to his advice, they disguised themselves as Brahmins and began to live in a small town called Ekachakra.
The Pandavas would go around the town, begging for alms. Whatever they received would be divided into two equal parts by Kunti. One half was shared by Yudhishthira, Arjuna, Nakula, Sahadeva and Kunti.

The other half was given to Bheema.
But even that did not satisfy Bheema's mighty appetite. Because of his insatiable hunger, he was also called 'Vrukodara', the one with a stomach like a wolf.
