The Kauravas were defeated and Duryadhina fled.Now, Bheema's only desire was to kill Duryodhana. Duryodhana had lost all his brothers and his most trusted friends.
A dejected and defeated Duryodhana escaped from Kurukshetra and hid himself in a lake. Yudhishthira had seen Duryodhana going towards the lake. The Pandavas also went there.
Yudhishthira challenged Duryodhana saying, "Come out of the water and fight with us. According to the principles of war, only one of us will fight with you."
Duryodhana expressed his wish to fight a duel with Bheema. Duryodhana was as strong as Bheema.The man to man dual began. In the duel between the two mighty enemies.
Neither gave in easily.
