DRAUPADI'S SWAYAMWARA
King Drupada performed harsh penance and pleased the gods. As his boons from the Gods he asked them to bless him with a son who could slay Drona and a daughter who would marry Arjuna.
King Drupada's daughter was called Draupadi.
When Draupadi was of marriageable age, King Drupada held a swayamwara.
At that time, the Pandavas, disguised as Brahmins, were living in Ekachakra. When they heard about Draupadi's swayamwara, they were eager to attend it.
Kunti said to them, "We have lived here for a long time. Now let us go and live in the kingdom of King Drupada."
The Pandavas readily agreed to Kunti's proposal. They left Ekachakra and reached the beautiful kingdom
of King Drupada. They began to live in a potter's house.
