THE STORY OF DHRONA
Drona was the son of Sage Bharadwaja.
His wife's name was Kripi and he had a son called Ashwatthama.
Drona was very poor.
He did not have enough to feed his family.
Little Ashwatthama craved for milk.
Seeing the plight of their son, Kripi's eyes would swell with tears. She often said, "I wish we had a cow."
One day, Kripi said to Drona,"King Drupada is your friend.
Can't we get a cow from him?"
Drona was not only well-versed in the Vedas and Shastras but also proficient in archery.
If he desired, he could defeat any king in a battle and even seize his kingdom.
