KRISHNA'S CHILDHOOD
On his way, Vasudeva had to cross the river Yamuna. but due to heavy rain, the flooded river had strong currents. When Vasudeva reached the banks of the river, the stormy waters made way for him to cross the river easily.

Shesha, the king of serpents, spread his hood over baby Krishna to protect him from the rain and Vasudeva reached Gokul.

Vasudeva's friend Nanda lived there. Nanda's wife Yashoda had given birth to a baby girl. Nanda and Vasudeva exchanged their new-born babies.
Leaving Krishna with Nanda and Yashoda in Gokul, Vasudeva took the baby girl and returned to the prison.

He put the baby in Devaki's arms. The baby began to cry which woke up the guards. Kamsa was given the news that Devaki had given birth to a baby girl.
