“Even if you tear Jarasandha's body apart into two pieces, they will at once join together and he will be whole again. But his days are numbered. It is time for him to die. We will have to think of a plan to slay him." Said Shri Krishna.
Shri Krishna, Bheema and Arjuna disguised themselves as ascetics and went to Jarasandha and challenged him to a wrestling bout. It was decided to have single combat between Bheema and Jarasandha.
The fight continued for thirteen days.
On the fourteenth day, Bheema caught Jarasandha by his leg and tore him apart into two pieces. He roared with happiness. But the two parts of Jarasandha's body at once joined together!
Bheema was puzzled. He looked at Shri Krishna for help. Shri Krishna took a leaf in his hands, tore it apart vertically and threw the two pieces in opposite
