A long time back a just and upright lion reigned over the beasts of this earth. He was neither cruel nor tyrannical but as gentle and just as a king should be.
During his reign he called a general assembly of beasts, and drew up a constitution under which all were to live as equals and in peace.
The wolf and the lamb, the tiger and the stag, the leopard and the kid, the dog and the hare would live side by side as peaceful friends.
