ROW, ROW, ROW YOUR BOAT
Row, row, row your boat
Gently Down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.
Note: The picture here,  strictly speaking, is not that of a row boat. This one is a big boat which is a sail-boat and a row-boat
The first people to travel by water probably used logs as simple boats. They sat astride the log and used a piece of wood to paddle along.
About 5000 years ago The Egyptians began to build proper boats. First they used a bundle of reeds and later they learnt to make proper boats from strong planks of wood. Then come the sails and the rudder.
